Where are the munchkin holes?!

20 03 2008

The hunt is on. A recent trip to Dunkin’ Donuts revealed only chocolate, glazed, and cinnamon. Where did the holes from all the other donuts go? Is no where in NYC safe from the donut-hole-thief?

– in search of the jelly-filled donut hole.

And on a slightly more serious note, why is it that “Dunkin’ Donuts” doesn’t mention donuts at all in their product list. At least a common flavor list of your name-sake, please!

The new car

15 03 2008

Mini has a new model … and it has all the features that are important to me … and the thing most important to Conrad. Thanks to Melissa for sharing the news … our new mini is on order (C’s hoping it comes with a year’s worth of weiners).

India … it’s a sure thing.

1 02 2008

Well, for all of you who were wondering … 1 sleep to go for Conrad (which means by the time you’re reading this, it’s the day he’s leaving or he’s already enroute to London)!

And on a mixed-emotional note, I will not be going home with him at the end of our holiday. I’ll be going home shortly thereafter, to be sure … but not directly. First, I’ve made a deal with the woman I’m standing in for that I will accompany our exec to the leadership conference in Bangalore, India. … So I’m ready to go home, but C & I figure we made it through 4 months, we can handle 4 more days … and the pro’s of the experience of travelling to India, seeing life there, seeing HAL there, being a part of the event — well, it’s another great learning opportunity, plus it’s a great capstone to end the experience on.

So, there you have it. C & I will spend a little time together in Asia, then on the 15th, we’ll fly home to NYC … only my flight will include a 5 day layover in India. :-)

Fun times

2 12 2007

Dinner party was fun — simple Chicken dish with steamed veg. Wow — I have seen those cheapy steamers in the store, but dang. I never knew just how cool / useful / convenient they were. The hostess had a 3-decker … and used 1 level for potatoes, 1 level for broccoli, and 1 level for carrots … all came out so tender & full of good nutrients, so easy. They were telling me you can also do rice & crustless bread in the thing. I was impressed :-)

You know what else is impressive? Conrad just uploaded pictures from his Macy’s-Day-Parade-Eve walk around our neighborhood. The balloons are all inflated and ready for the big day tomorrow (a bit strange to look at them close-up and netted down, but still neat to imagine it). Next year, I *will* be there to experience it *with* Conrad, but this is a good step!
