‘Rents are awesome

23 11 2007

… especially when moms put the whole non-perishable aisle into a box and spend way too much money to ship it to all the way to Singapore so their daughter feels a little closer to home.

Love you mom!

… and when dads build a whole DVD slideshow about an adventure trip they took to your city while you were away and then sneak that into the box too just to make sure you get really good and homesick and realize exactly what you’re missing, you realize Dads are pretty great too.

Love you too Dad!

Beck, I didn’t ship ALL the non-perishables from Publix…another package should accomplish that task.;-) I love the picture of your apartment…it reminds me of your NYC place, in reverse…your loft in the city is downstairs/here it’s upstairs with the same type circular staircase. There is another difference…in Singapore you have “room service”; in NYC, your service wears the name tag: CONRAD! (I only hope he’s trainable!!!)
Love you tons…and can’t wait to see you at Christmas in NC. Keep us educated with Asian culture…it’s all so different…and interesting. I love your visuals…thanks for the pictures! But, most of all, I love you…and miss you BIG time!!! xoxoxoxo

Hey Becky!
Conrad and uncle Jose told me about your blog and I had to drop by! It is nice, girl!!

Do I see Mac and Cheese? That is the food of life! And pancake mix? You are set! Aren’t moms awesome? :)

We were all thinking of you this Thanksgiving. I hope you aren’t too homesick. What an awesome opportunity though, right?

We are back from our trip to PA and I’m catching up on your blog. Your Mom knows what you might be missing foodwise; but I would like to know if there is anything you would especially like for our Christmas dinner (the day after tamales!)
With all your new experiences, what are you missing most of the “old” stuff?
We all enjoyed being with Conrad, but we do miss his “other half”. We hope these separations won’t be happening much more!
Love, Mom R
